PPP Exchange FAQ

What is the PPP Exchange?
The PPP Exchange is an invitation only pilot that operates alongside PPP’s core membership program. It applies only to newly approved retailers and ties participation to confirmed purchasing activity.

Does this affect Core PPP member stores?
No. Core PPP member stores continue under the existing 10% PPP model. The Exchange operates as a separate track.

How does the discount structure work?
For Exchange retailers, vendors apply a 5%  discount at the time of shipment to the approved ship to address.

The remaining 5% is reconciled quarterly and remitted to PPP based on confirmed Exchange purchases.

The total vendor participation remains 10%.

What am I required to do each quarter?
Vendors submit total purchases made by approved Exchange store locations using standard sales data already maintained in their systems.

PPP reconciles totals and issues a summary. Vendors have 30 days to raise discrepancies before the summary becomes final.

Quarterly remittance is then due according to the published schedule.

How much administrative time is required?
Minimal. Vendors submit total invoiced amounts only. No item level detail or special reporting systems are required.

How are discrepancies handled?
PPP compares retailer and vendor submissions and works with both parties to resolve differences using available documentation before final confirmation.

Are returns, credits, or damages adjusted in reconciliation?
No. The 5% remittance is calculated based on orders invoiced and shipped during the reporting period.

Can I exclude certain products from the discount?
No. The Exchange follows PPP’s standard policy of applying the discount across the full line to maintain pricing consistency, unless specifically addressed in the PPP Vendor Agreement.

Can retailers belong to other buying groups?
Yes. Exchange participation is non exclusive. However, retailers cannot be both Core PPP and Exchange at the same time, and we do not request that discounts be stacked.

How is Exchange participation structured?
Participation in the Exchange is part of the broader PPP vendor relationship and follows the standard PPP agreement and annual renewal process.

How are eligible stores identified?
PPP provides a verified list of approved Exchange store locations, including exact ship to addresses. Discount eligibility is tied strictly to the shipping address provided by PPP.

Who handles order placement, payment terms, and collections?
Vendors manage all ordering, payment terms, and account issues directly with retailers, as they do today.

When will new stores be added?
PPP is finalizing the vendor group first and will onboard Exchange retailers in a controlled and limited manner. Updated store lists will be provided as locations are approved.
